sold

Picturesque general view of Brno with the surrounding landscape. In the foreground a family of five going for a walk, and two men in uniform are at the left side.

Adolph Friedrich Kunike (1777 Greifswald - Vienna 1838, painter and lithographer) studied at the academy of arts in Vienna. He was trained in the technique of lithography by Alois Senefelder (1771 Prague - Munich 1834), who invented the lithography. 1817 Kunike founded his own studio for lithography. He worked after drawings of many famous artists of his time, e.g. after Jacob Alt and others.
