Voulez-vous y mettre 1,500 francs, prenez-moi ça, c’est pas beau, mais c’est bon, ça a des papiers ..... tant qu’on en veut! et ça n’bronchera pas du service pendant vos six ans. Paper somewhat stained and yellowed.

From 1836 to 1838 the 100 numbered lithographs of the series 'Caricaturana', with texts by Philipon, had been published in the the satirical newspaper “Le Charivari“. The complete series was published again as a collector's album in 1838, also in an original coloured version.
