cornucopias with flowers.
Originally coloured copper engraving on vellum, surrounded
by a painted border with flowers. Margins a little bit
trimmed. Flemish, 18th century. 13 x 9,3 cm.
John the Baptist (ca. 1 BC - 29 AD), prophet, baptist
of Jesus Christ, martyr.
Patron saint of Burgundy, the Provence, Amiens, Malta
and Florence; beside others patron saint of the lambs,
sheeps and domestic animals.
