This map replaced an earlier and similar
one. Comparing both maps our one shows the initials
of the woodcutter - 'DK', which stands for David
Kandel - at the lower left side and all titles
of the windheads are now in banners.
Later editions of the Cosmographia - from
1552 - were edited by Münster's son-in-law Heinrich
Petri.
