Guillaume de l'Isle (1675 – 1726)

Royal cartographer and publisher of maps in Paris. Pupil of G.D. Cassini. He was succeeded by his widow and his son-in-law Philippe Buache (1700 – 1773) who continued his company. Later on his maps were published in atlases by Covens & Mortier in Amsterdam in 1733, in Venice in 1740 and again in Paris in 1789.

Johannes Covens (1697 – 1774) & Corneille Mortier (1699 – 1783)

Publishing house in Amsterdam (till 1866). C. Mortier took over - together with his brother-in-law J. Covens - from his uncle David Mortier the firm of his father Pierre Mortier in Amsterdam 1721.
