Decorative map of the American continent. A part
of New Zealand is shown at lowermost left - beside
of the title cartouche, which shows depictions of
native Americans walking under a sunshade, fishing,
hunting or mining gold and silver. At upper left:
cartouche with coat of arms and a dedication to
Consul Cornelio Witsen in Amsterdam.
The map shows many details along the coastlines,
but California still as an island.
